Iranian Motor Oil on Its Way to African Market

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A member of the Iranian Motor Oil Producers Association called the African continent as Iran’s special export target market, and noted that Iran’s high-quality motor oil is presently exported to some African markets.

Speaking at a news conference at the 6th Export Potential Exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran dubbed “Iran Expo 2024”, Farhad Amin Dehghan said, “We are consulting and getting data related to common vehicles in African countries for producing and exporting products needed in these markets.”

He pointed to the export market of lubricants and noted that lubricants produced in the country have so far been exported to 11 countries such as India, China, the Republic of Azerbaijan and some African states, according to ISNA.

Dehghan went on to say that more than 760,000 tons of various types of industrial lubricants were produced at the Sepahan Oil Company, over 500,000 tons of which were exported to foreign markets.

The export of more than 500,000 tons of industrial lubricants earned $400 million in foreign currency for the country last year, he added.
