Iranian Knowledge-Based Company Locally Produces Nano-Insulators to Protect Cob Buildings

TEHRAN (ANA)- A knowledge-based firm based in Arak Science and Technology Park has produced a special nano-insulator for the protection of cob buildings.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the Tehran-hosted the 14th International Nanotechnology Exhibition, Ali Jamshidi, the managing director of this knowledge-based company said that producing advanced materials and products based on chemical technologies is their company's research field, adding, in order to mass produce our products, we set up a production line at the Arak Science and Technology Park."

He named two new insulators with cost-effective materials as a technological achievement that they made in their company, adding that, they have used a new formula for these insulators that make them useful to insulate pitch and waterproofing material more.

Jamshidi considered concrete glue, nano insulation and tile adhesive (glue) as other products produced in their company, saying, “The produced nano insulator is a waterproofing insulator. This insulation has the potnetial to be used inside the mortar and can be used alone or with other materials.”

According to him, the insulator is also used to protect cob structures.

He further said that they have exported their product to Iraq and Armenia and they are negotiating with Tajikistan as well.
