TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Tractor football team’s Spanish coach Paco Jemez is pleased with his team’s performance against Sharjah but said he is disappointed for missing the chances against the Emirati side.
Tractor suffered a 3-1 loss against Sharjah in Tabriz’s Yadegar Emam Stadium and failed to book a place in the 2023-24 AFC Champions League group stage.
“I think we showed a good performance and created several chances against a big team. In my opinion, we lose because we award so many opportunities to our opponents,” the Spanish coach said.
“It is regrettable that we lost the match because we played well.
“We will have to work to fix our mistakes. It was individual errors which cost us the loss against Sharjah,” Jemez added.
