TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s women’s football team dropped two places to 63rd in the latest FIFA World Ranking released on Friday.
Sweden knocked the US off the top of the FIFA women’s rankings for the first time in more than six years while Spain also moved above the US after winning its first World Cup last weekend.
Spain climbed from sixth to second, demoting the US to third, while runner-up England and quarter-finalist France remained fourth and fifth in the latest rankings published on Friday.
The next FIFA Women’s World Ranking will be published on December 15.
