TEHRAN (ANA)- Specialists at an Iranian knowledge-based company managed to produce powerful magnets which can strengthen muscles and heal wounds.
“This device, which has been indigenized in Iran enjoys a power of 5 Tesla, has been made based on the highest quality standards, and it is offered at a price of about one-fifteenth of a good foreign model,” Mahmoud Elyasi, the production manager of the knowledge-based company, told ANA.
“In the field of physiotherapy, there are a wide range of diseases in which the muscle is weak or painful and we need to strengthen it to return to its real function. Magnets are actually used for this purpose. Magnets apply force to the muscles as a device based on a specific frequency and intensity, and in this process the muscle contracts and releases repeatedly, just like what happens to a healthy person during exercise. The result of this process is muscle strengthening,” he explained.
Noting that one of the old methods for treating wounds is the use of magnetism which uses magnets or special stones to create this magnetic field, Elyasi said, “In fact, when the wound is exposed to magnetic waves, the tissue starts to regenerate. Collagen production is stimulated and the skin gradually closes and the wound heals. At the same time, the energy that enters the wound destroys the wall of microorganisms and destroys the infection and inflammation of the wounded tissue.”
The technique of using magnets gives cells a gentle workout to promote cell growth and speed healing. A clear bandage loaded with magnetic gel can accelerate wound healing.
Researchers have also developed a magnetic gel that can help diabetic wounds heal roughly three times as fast as they would with a conventional wound dressing.
