According to Rahyafte(the missionaries and converts website):Khayyam al-Zu’bi noted that in this letter, Ayatollah Khamenei stressed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s solidarity with the American students who are facing police crackdown.
He noted that Western countries have for decades supported the Zionist regime but the crimes committed by the Israeli regime against the Palestinian people have been such that people in the US and European countries are now turning against their government and protesting the war on the Gaza Strip.
In recent months, the world has seen anti-Israeli protests in universities in the United States, Canada, the UK, France, the Netherlands and other countries, he said.
They are demanding a boycott of companies supporting Israel and an end to cooperation with the Israeli regime’s universities, al-Zu’bi stated.
He added that now the Leader of the Islamic Revolution has written a letter to the students, hailing their support for Palestinians who are struggling to liberate their lands.
The letter is also about the Palestinians’ power and capability to counter Western-Israeli plots and confront challenges, the Syrian analyst went on to say.
In the letter, released on Thursday, Ayatollah Khamenei hailed the American university students’ rallies in support of Palestine and Gaza in recent months, saying they are standing on the right side of history, and urging them to become familiar with the Quran.
“As the page of history is turning, you are standing on the right side of it,” the Leader said.
“This is our message of empathy and solidarity with you. You are standing on the right side of history — whose pages are being turned,” the letter read.
“You have now formed part of the resistance movement, and have begun an honorable struggle [despite being] under the cruel pressure of your government — which openly defends the usurping and ruthless Zionist regime,” it added.
