Iran’s Cultural Heritage Organization signs agreement with Hermitage Museum

Iran’s Cultural Heritage & Tourism Organization (ICHTO) signed an agreement with the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia to pave the way for cooperation between the two institutes on architecture, archaeology, conservation, history, and written heritage.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in humanitarian and research fields, as well as promoting educational exchanges and sharing of expertise.

The agreement was inked by the director of the Iranian institute Mostafa Dehpahlavan and the director of the State Hermitage Museum Mikhail Piotrovsky.

Archaeology, document archives, preservation, architectural restoration, landscapes and historic gardens, linguistics, Interdisciplinary studies, anthropology, ethnography, and tourism were identified as key areas of mutual interest, all of which will be explored under the new cooperation.

This collaboration aims to introduce cultural knowledge and promote cross-cultural understanding.
