Iranian play ‘Alaa’ to be staged in South Korea

‘Alaa,’ a monodrama written and directed by Mohammad Kazemtabar, is set to make its international debut at the 14th Daejeon International Play Festival in South Korea.

This theatrical production introduces a unique blend of romance and aerial yoga movements, making it a standout performance in the festival.

With a presence of 16 plays from eight different countries, the 14th edition of the South Korean festival opened on September 8, and will run through September 26 in the city of Daejeon, South Korea, Iran Daily reported.

The cast includes Marjan Aqanouri, Ali Borji, and Mohammad-Reza Azadfard, who bring the production to life with their outstanding performances.

Among the other members of the crew are: Production Manager: Hamed Goodarzi, Light Designer: Reza Khazraei, Motion Designer: Amir Aghajan, Makeup Designer: Munir Sadat Samadani-nia, Poster Designer: Ramin Rostami, Yoga Areial Movement Designer: Elmira Sabzehzar, Composer and Sound Designer: Ali Khatami.
